This December, Maxity.io is excited to announce the launch of its first mobile DApp, Maxity App. This ground-breaking application is one of a range of innovative features to the Web3 space, including a charity NFT marketplace launched in April, with direct charitable donation options. In addition, users will be able to take advantage of an in-app crypto wallet, as well as an innovative Plant and Reward token incentive model, MAX Forest. These cutting-edge features make Maxity App a must-have for anyone looking to stay at the forefront of the blockchain revolution and wanting to contribute to charity.
Maxity is the world's first Web3.0 social impact protocol that leverages the power of Web3.0 and blockchain technology to increase transparency in the charitable sector and provide a range of new fundraising options for charities. By creating a Symbiotic Metaverse, Maxity aims to support the United Nations' 17 Global Goals. Inspired by the successful Ant Forest programme from Alibaba, Maxity has taken the concept to the next level by expanding globalisation and decentralisation, and developing a decentralised application called MAX Forest. MAX Forest uses the Plant and Reward model to encourage all Web2 and Web3 users to join the fight against desertification and make a positive impact on the world.
MAX Forest encourages global users to adopt daily low-carbon behaviour, participate in tree-planting initiatives in the Metaverse and in the real world. By creating Web3.0 public welfare forests, MAX Forest helps to combat desertification, increase employment, and address pressing issues like environmental protection and global warming. By participating in MAX Forest, users can make a real impact in the fight against climate change and contribute to the advancement of communities around the world.

MAX Forest has simple rules: users can walk or make digital currency payments within the DApp to accumulate green energy. The energy can then be used to redeem and cultivate virtual saplings. In MAX Forest V1, users can gain green energy through their step counts.
A study published in The Lancet Public Health by the Steps for Health Collaborative found that there is a connection between the number of steps taken, walking speed, and health outcomes in adults of different ages. The study found that adults under 60 may not experience significant improvements in longevity beyond a daily step count of 8000–10000, while adults over 60 may not see further benefits beyond a daily step count of 6000–8000. Based on these findings, MAX Forest has implemented a step-energy conversion mechanism that takes into account age-specific daily step recommendations.
MAX Forest has established a daily step limit of 8000 steps for generating energy in order to promote user well-being and prevent over-exercise. Any steps taken beyond this limit will not be rewarded with energy. The DApp will track users' step counts three times throughout the day (8:00, 16:00, 24:00) based on their time zone and convert the steps into green energy using a rate of 100 steps to 1 energy. With each generation, an energy bubble will be displayed above the virtual sapling, showing the energy value within it.
MAX Forest offers a range of gameplay options based on the current designs and rules:
Upon logging into the DApp, users will see a floating island and their own virtual tree. The size of the sapling reflects the amount of green energy that has been collected through the user's daily steps. To further enhance the experience and encourage engagements, MAX Forest offers various tree NFTs in its store where users can purchase the NFTs with their green energy. These NFTs, of which there are four available in MAX Forest V1, can be used to dress up the user's virtual sapling and provide a boost to the generation of green energy. Each NFT has three levels, representing different stages of tree growth and providing varying bonuses to energy generation. Therefore, by purchasing higher level NFTs, users can more quickly accumulate green energy and watch their sapling grow faster.
Users can also exchange their green energy for MAX coins in the DApp wallet, at a current exchange rate of 16:1. However, as noted in the DApp pop-up notifications, the returns from direct exchanges are not as high as those from planting trees.
Users are encouraged to invite their families and friends to join MAX Forest, and they will be rewarded 6 MAX Coins with each successful referral.
MAX Forest store will offer altogether 7 tree NFTs for sale, and 4 of which will be available in the first version, namely, acacia, umbrella tree, prickly pear, and vetiver.
Acacia: Acacia trees play a crucial role in preventing desertification by acting as a barrier and helping to hold and preserve soil. In addition to their environmental benefits, acacia trees also provide habitat for birds and insects, supporting biodiversity.
Buffalo Thorn: Buffalo thorns are native to South Africa and hold great cultural significance for the Zulu people. Historically, these trees were planted on the graves of deceased Zulu chiefs to honour and remember them. Buffalo thorns also have medicinal properties, and their leaves, trunk, and roots are used for various medicinal purposes.
Umbrella Tree: Maesopsis eminii, the umbrella tree, is a tall, fast-growing tree, often used in agroforestry in Africa, Indonesia, India, and other places as a shade tree for cocoa, coffee, cardamom, tea, and other crops. At the same time, the umbrella tree is also a high-quality wood for furniture production.
Prickly Pear: Opuntia, commonly called prickly pear or pear cactus, plays a crucial role in combating desertification and soil erosion. It produces nutritious fruits with medicinal properties that are often used in Mexican cuisine.
Ficus: The Ficus tree is known for its ability to thrive in the most challenging environments, such as the dry and hot Arizona desert. These trees are able to survive in such conditions due to their incredibly long tap roots, which can grow deep into cracks and crevices in cliffs and rock piles to access underground water reserves that are often hidden at great depths. Ficus trees play an important role in maintaining the balance of desert ecosystems.
Rose of Socotra: Rose of Socotra is the largest in its genus, reaching up to 4.6 meters in height and having a cylindrical trunk with a diameter of 2.5 meters at the base. It can thrive in extremely dry conditions, and its white sap has medicinal properties.
Vetiver: Vetiver offers numerous ecological benefits such as soil conservation, prevention of soil erosion, pest control, and weed prevention. It is also valued for its contribution to the protection of the Great Barrier Reef.
A regular user can earn a tree NFT in approximately one month with green energy being generated from their daily steps. Users have the option to donate this NFT to an NGO's public welfare forest or sell it on Maxity's NFT marketplace. If the user opts to donate the tree NFT to an NGO, Maxity Foundation will work with the NGO to plant a real sapling in a public welfare forest in an area affected by severe desertification, such as the Sahel area, the Middle East, or Central Asia. As a reward for their contribution, the user will receive a badge NFT. The badge NFT can be kept as a collectible, sold on the NFT marketplace, or be exchanged for MAX Coin with the Maxity Foundation.
In future updates to the DApp, Maxity will introduce even more engaging gameplay features based on the Plant and Reward model, such as new tree NFTs, floating island NFTs, and avatar NFTs. Users will be able to piece together their own floating islands to form their own forests, collect energy from one another, and shake virtual trees to earn random drops of MAX Coin. They will also be able to borrow avatars from each other and engage in other interactive activities. All these features will be integrated into the Symbiotic Metaverse and connected with its avatars and virtual lands, creating a truly immersive and imaginative virtual world for social interaction and play.
MAX Forest serves as the foundation for the Symbiotic Metaverse, and the Plant and Reward model is the first step in the evolution of Maxity's Volunteer and Reward model. In the future, the V&R model will expand to include an even greater range of volunteer initiatives and charitable projects.
Maxity's goal is to demonstrate the potential of combining blockchain technology, the Web3.0 industry, and philanthropy to create a positive social impact and shift mainstream perceptions of the Web3.0 industry. By highlighting the good that can be achieved through the use of these technologies, we hope to inspire wider adoption and innovation across various sectors, ultimately leading to a major transformation in the Web3.0 landscape.
